About Me

I’m Kris Miller, co-owner of Allegro Winery with my husband Carl Helrich. We bought our first vineyard and winery in “The Brogue” (York County, PA) in 2001 and grew here with our two sons in a house near the vineyard. We purchased our second location in Stewartstown in 2020 and the Pinnacle Ridge wine brand in 2021.
In my other lives, I have taught college humanities, literature, and writing classes; taught at a Waldorf school; traveled far and wide; and photographed a wonderful array of wild creatures and places. Here at home, in addition to enjoying the fruits of Carl’s labors, I enjoy vibrant food, beer, words, cold cocktails, images, girlfriend time, and all of the life in the vineyards.
